What's New!

What’s New!

November 1, 2005

  • It's official Herman and Georgia will be at the 2006 SF Auto Show. See you there!
  • It's Herman's birthday on the 11th, Phil's on the 12th, and Georgia's dear friend Christina on the 22nd!

October 4, 2005

  • New pictures are up - Wedding Cocktail, and trips to Philippines and Hong Kong. More pictures will follow in a few weeks.

October 1, 2005

  •  Grandpa Garee's wedding was a success! There were many people who attended and feasted at the event. There were a few culture shock, but nothing that Georgia couldn't handle.  The biggest change was her mom's home in the province. It changed damatically since the last time she visited 10 years ago. Same goes with her Uncle Neri's home. Quite a huge change.
  • It was great seeing and visiting families oversees. Thanks to Georgia's mom covering Georgia's flight expense.  Perhaps if it wasn't for mosquito bites, Georgia would visit more often. Someone said, "the mosquito had their ways with Georgia." =)
  • Hong Kong was a good place to visit. Thank you to Uncle Louie and Auntie Precilla, Georgia was able to travel to Hong Kong. She was accompanied with two new friends from Philippines - Nanett and Jen. Three days was just enough for Georgia to site see Hong Kong. Thank you to Nanett and Jen for their accomodation and flexibility.  Georgia hopes to travel with them again to other Asian countries.
  • How did Herman do without his wife for over a week? Not bad.  The house was still intact when she returned.

September 13, 2005

  • Exactly 6 months today the couple said their vows to each other and yet they still have not decided when to go for their honeymoon. But hey! They waited for over a decade, what's one more year =)
  • Lucinda, Phil, Herman and Georgia had a good time at their August Encenada Cruise weekend trip. Herman and Phil enjoyed the trip the most. So many food... 24 hours and so many activities to do. Only on their second day on the ship and both Herman and Phil already asked when will be the next cruise. It is truly a cost saving trip and must watch out the food intake if you're concern.
  • Bill and Lucia's wedding was great.  It was great seeing families at the wedding and at the BBQ family reunion.  What a surprising information to Georgia when she learned her new Uncle Bill also comes from a large family. Auntie Lucia has sixteen siblings and Uncle Bill has ten. All Georgia could say was "WOW"
  • After the family gathering, Herman and Georgia headed to Catalina Island for a one day trip and it was a wonderful trip. It was a small town and cosy. It is a great place for a weekend getaway. Herman enjoyed driving the rented golf cart and Georgia enjoyed driving the rented boat. Too bad Georgia missed the evening fly fish.  The couple plans to visit again with family members.
  • Life is less stressful for Georgia these days. The company she works for finally okayed to get some help for her department. Georgia doesn' t remember how she survived at her company without front desk help. DRG hired another friend of Georgia, Cherly Posada (some of you may know her). With Cherly around, Georgia is able to breath easier. So who knows, maybe Georgia will take some time to practice making babies.
  • Herman was on another Drifting event last Saturday, Sept 10th. He was smart this time. He took care of himself from the sun and wind; in other words... Herman came home without sunburn or cold sores.
  • Georgia will be leaving her husband after 6 months of marriage. Not that type of leaving =) She will be traveling to Philippines for a family reunion on her mom side. From our understanding, there will be eleven people traveling on September 20th. That's 22 balinkbayan boxes!!!The reunion will also be a combination of her Grandfather Garee's wedding.  She will be coordinating the event while her mother will coordinate the dinning area.
  • The trip to Philippines for Georgia will only be for four days. The day after her Grandfather say "I do", she will be taking a flight to Hong Kong to explore for three days, then fly back to her husband arms on the 29th. Her only concern is... making sure Herman keeps the house intact.

July 13, 2005

  • Less than 2 weeks and counting - www.billandluciawedding.com.
  • If you haven't seen Herman lately, Georgia would like to scream out "I didn't hit him".  Herman did not protect himself from the wind and sun during the DD NorCal event. When Herman and Chester came home  from the event, they were both red heads and developed cold sores a few days later... big and lots of cold sores. Let's just say, Georgia's lips has not touched Herman's lips since July 3rd... 10 days and counting.
  • After searching for a simple bed frame, Georgia and Herman finally found their bed as a married couple. Full size bed is not as comfortable as it use to be. It only took them 1 1/2 year to find "the one" . Now lets see how long it will take them to put it together =)
  • The newlywed just learned that Grandma Ip follows the chinese calendar for her B-day. This year, the family will be celebrating Grandma Ip's 97th Birthday on July 30th. Did you know Grandma Ip lives on her own in her SF apartment? She's an amazing person. You've met her... she was the youngest person at the headtable. Correction, she was the youngest person at the wedding.

July 1, 2005

  • Come and visit Herman on July 2nd at Golden Gate Fields (Albany, CA). He will be helping out DD NorCal (it's a car drift event for those who are not familiar). The event is host by TJ Morales, Gaylord Garcia and Lee Slonie.
  • Georgia will be planning another wedding this year. This time it's for her grandfather Garee Usi. You met him. He was sitting between Georgia's mama and papa during the wedding reception.
  • Last May, the newlywed's friends Stan and Yvonne hitched and went to Hawaii for their honeymoon.
  • Last month, the newlywed attended their friends wedding. Congrats to Liza and Rob Tran from South Bay!  Their honeymoon took place in Bahama. We think it was Bahama?
  • This month, the newlywed will be attending a wedding in LA. Georgia's auntie, Lucia Sabado will be wed to Bill Merchant on July 23rd.  Then the very next day, a family reunion will be held at Lucia and Bill's home. It will be a busy family weekend.
  • Almost forgot! To those who attended G&H's western ceremony, Herman has new wheels in the Herman's garage. Too bad Herman's friends cannot come over to play with his new toy till Herman clean his room. =)

May 28, 2005

  • Western Ceremony Picture are here!
  • Herman and Georgia will be going to a Mexico weekend cruise in August and it's not a honeymoon. Lucinda and Phil will be joining them. This is everyone's first time to see if they will survive ocean trips.  While Herman sleeps-in in the cabin, Phil working-out in the gym, Georgia and Lucinda will enjoy the rock climbing and spa that the cruise offers.
  • The couple's Mini-honeymoon at Monterey was great. The couple stayed at Gosby House Inn. This was their first time lodging at a Bed & Breakfast. It looks like it is something they will do again in the future.
  • Sorry ladies... she's still not pregnant.
  • Thank You cards to their wedding guests are rolling out, but don't hold your breath because it doesn't look like they are half way done.
  • The newlywed are considering French Polynisian or Australia for their 2 weeks honeymoon which they will take in March 2006.

May 13, 2005

  • Herman and Georgia are going to Monterey this weekend. But don't wait for a baby in 9 months. The newlywed will be going for their honeymoon next year on their first year anniversary. Their schedule this year is just too busy for a long trip.
  • Georgia is continually living their wedding day. They are still receiving presents in the mail. YIPEEE!!!
  • Wedding pictures are posted SEE >>>>>>> Pre-Wedding Ceremony!!
  • Of course more pictures to come =)

April 28, 2005

  • How's married life?... "same as when we were single."
  • Here is something new and very unexpected. =) Herman and Georgia's wedding were featured on the Redwood City, San Mateo, Burlingame, Palo Alto and Los Gatos Daily News.  It's titled "Crossing cultures" located at the wedding guide section. It was printed on April 12, 2005. Someone who knows the newlywed called the couple  after  the wedding to ask for permission. Of course the newlywed were honored and excited!
  • Wedding pictures are creeping in, and the editing for the video is in progress. Can't wait!
  • Skipping Tahoe for snowboarding completely... at least for  this season. We'll plan it again in November when the snow returns.
  • Drift event turned out great last Saturday. There were good turn out and the drifters got more runs than they expected.
  • Herman is finally convinced he can drift. CRAP!!! Now he wants another car in addition to his BMW M3.
  • Herman was approched by one of the board of directors from SCCA (Sport Car Club of America) to assist with organazing drift events which are to be hosted by San Francisco Region .  He was more than happy to accept the task with the help from friends - TJ Morales and Gaylord Garcia.

April 13, 2005

  • Oh my gosh... 1 month and still married.

April 8, 2005

  • No Tahoe this month. Herman has a drift event to attend on April 23rd. Will try snowboarding again next month.
  • One set of pictures is up (look to the right side of the screen). Georgia will continue working and loading the remaining pictures during her free time.

April 6, 2005

  • Almost 1 month and still married.
  • Georgia is proud of Herman, he forgot to wear his wedding ring only 10 times since they've been married.
  • As for Georgia, she has a body guard. Her Maid of Honor , Christina constantly reminds Georgia about wearing her wedding ring each time they see each other.
  • Will have the first batch of wedding picture online available sometime this month.
  • Thank you to those who has e-mailed us pictures from the wedding day.
  • Wedding guests... please feel free to send in your pictures taken at the wedding day. E-mail them at bride@georgianherman.com
  • What has the newlywed been up to since they got married? For some reason... bowling. Sunday evenings after 9pm, you'll find the newlywed regularly at the Classic Bowl in Daly City, along with Lucinda, Phil, Chester and Corrinda (Herman's cousin). We're all trying to beat Chester's scores.
  • The couple will try to get back behind the wheel for car racing sometime this summer.
  • Georgia is constantly planning for trips. With the couple's busy schedule this year, the couple has decided they will go to their honeymoon next year on their 1 Year Wedding Anniversary. Herman is looking forward to it.
  • Congrats to Mr. Stanton Lee and Dr. Yvonne Ng. They are getting married on May 21, 2005. Stanton (aka Stan) is a good friend of Herman from the old days during their GTS years.  Stan has gone to the dark side and has been a proud owner of BMW M5 for years.
  • Don't forget to mail in your 2004 taxes before April 15th. FYI- Post Office by the SFO Airport is open till 12pm. We hope you get lots of refund!

March 23, 2005

  • Humm... 10 days and still married!
  • Just saw wedding pictures and video last night. Thank you Uncle Garfield!!! Uncle Garfield is from Redbluff, CA (that's up north of Calif), he took pictures and put a wedding video together. Uncle Garfield is an old friend of Herman's mom.
  • Saw Victor and Jennifer Saldana today on the road by accident. It got Georgia feeling  "I can't wait to see the professional video". Victor and Jennifer are the father and daughter duo who did the wedding video for Herman and Georgia the whole weekend. The Saldana are starting their own video production business. Can't wait to see wedding video they've made.
  • Speaking of production, Spin Production was provided by Chuck Hucks, the DJ at the wedding.  Chuck has been a family friend for years and was Herman's badminton coach at El CaminoHigh School. This was before cousin John became the newlywed's coach during their high school years.
  • Speaking of High School, the hired professional photographers was by Palm Photography with Jeff Cabacungan and Stella Wo. Stella Wo along with her siblings were badminton playmates from High School and early college years. Toward the end of the wedding day, we learned Jeff is related to Georgia's family through the Salangsang side. What a SMALL world! And what a BIG family Georgia has! LOL!
  • Big THANK YOU to cousin Maria Celeste Usi  (aka Maricel, aka Tete) for putting the 30 pieces of rose boutonnieres, and Ip family friend Shirley for making the 25-28 pieces of orchid corsages. In the Chinese culture, boutonnieres and corsages are warn to honor family members.  Flowers made by Tete and Shirley were warn by family members who were not in the wedding party.

March 18, 2005

  • Finally able to gather some thoughts.
  • It's was  a Great Wedding, and Georgia was surprised to see a full house during the ceremony. We were very happy to see so many families and friends who took the time to join us. Many traveled far to help us celebrate. We apologize to those whom we didn't get to kiss, hug or say good bye to. We hope everyone had a good time from the beginning to the end.
  • We have about some 1000 pixs complement of cousin Kamen (Herman's 1st cousin). Pictures from the weekend weddings should be up by April under the Slide Show category. Come back and visit the website next month.
  • In the mean time, Herman has been back to work since March 16th and Georgia is taking a break by sleeping in. She'll be returning to work on March 21st.
  • Honeymoon: The newlywed don't know when they will have their honeymoon. Sorry to disappoint you; don't expect a little racer by the end of the year. Probably next year or so.

March 15, 2005

  • Morning: Akira left to return back to work in Japan.  Herman and Georgia might meet up with Akira and his girlfriend sometime in August in the Big Island; otherwise they will meet in the Bay Area.
  • Afternoon: Georgia thanked Herman for giving her two weddings instead of eloping. They are both glad they did the  wedding celebration with families and friends. (No rated R involved).
  • Evening: Condolance to Lucinda Ip (Herman's sister) and Phil Kwong (Lucinda's boyfriend). Furball, their hamster (picture in slide show) past away Tuesday night. Furbal had cancer and was put to sleep. Herman and Georgia stayed with Furball till the end.

  • Speaking of awhile, it seems my e-mail (bride@georgianherm.com) was down for awhile. Mr. Ip said it was SBC's fault; yet his company represent SBC's service. How interesting? But no worries, all is well again. Just couldn't retrieve old e-mails.
